[Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes] The blog-o-sphere is abuzz with postings referencing the official RAD Studio World Tour announcement starting to hit the wires, and it contains something of potential interest. I have also seen claims starting to appear that XE3 will not have any iOS support at all.
[Estimated Reading Time: < 1 minutes] Somebody appears to have got their hands on a draft version of a “What’s New” document for Delphi and C++ Builder XE3. Get it while it’s hot – it’s likely to get taken down with extreme prejudice quite soon.
[Estimated Reading Time: 7 minutes] I recently got into an email exchange with David Intersimone of Embarcadero, during which a number of questions came up. [Estimated Reading Time: 4 minutes] In the comments to my previous post, David Intersimone mentioned that Embarcadero are working on enabling support for platform native UI controls within FireMonkey!
[Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes] This post is one of those classic double-entendres for which us Brits are (in)famous, involving as it does both an actual Pain In The Butt and a euphemistic one.
[Estimated Reading Time: 4 minutes] In the comments on yesterdays initial post in a series following the experiences of porting an Objective-C sample to XE2, a number of people have asked why I didn’t use the TCFString record type in System.Mac.CFUtils to get the CFStringRef references that I required. The reason is embarrassingly simple.
